“Now I bathe all the Tathāgatas, Their pure wisdom adorned with a sea of merit and virtue. May beings in the five turbidities be freed from defilements, And together realize the Tathāgata’s pure Dharma body.”
As “Sutra on the Merit of Bathing the Buddha” stated:
“As a result of bathing the Buddha statue in this way,
you and the assembly of humans and celestial beings will presently receive wealth and happiness, be free from illness, and enjoy longevity. All your wishes and aspirations will be fulfilled.
Your relatives and close ones will be safe and at peace.
You will forever part from the eight difficulties and be liberated from the source of suffering.”
According to the “Sutra on the Bathing of Monks in the Warm Chamber”, by offering a bathing pool, one gains seven great blessings as follows:
Freedom from major illnesses, peaceful living, courage, and good health.
Pure birth, dignified appearance, and freedom from defilements.
A fragrant body, clean clothing, and joy in those who see you.
Supple and radiant skin, majestic presence, and admiration from all.
Removal of worldly impurities, natural reception of blessings, and attainment of the knowledge of past lives.
Fragrant and pleasant breath, clean and neat teeth, and eloquence that everyone listens to.
Naturally obtain fine clothing, radiant adornments, and treasures such as jewels and precious stones.
Any surplus of the offerings will be transferred to our donation box for Dharma Propagation as well as to help those in need so that the merits from your donation will grow endlessly.
