观音菩萨常被世人奉为大慈大悲、救苦救难、有求必应的菩萨。若众生遇难，恭敬念诵观世音菩萨名号，菩萨即闻声救渡有情，为其解难。 

Guanyin is often worshipped as the Bodhisattva of great compassionate, having pity and mercy on all living beings, saving the suffering upon hearing their calls with immeasurable manifestations to eliminate calamities. By chanting the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva with sincerity will receive compassionate blessings and protection and gain incredible merits.

The 19th day of the 2nd lunar month is the Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s Birthday. It is very auspicious on this day to consume vegetarian food, recite sutra, chant the name of Buddha and chant mantras, as these practices bring vast merits. In this March, you’re cordially invited to join us to practise chanting sutras and mantras, consuming vegetarian food and taking refuge in the Three Jewels. Let’s join forces together to conduct vast virtuous deeds, dedicate merits to all living beings to be free from harms, disasters and attain ultimate happiness!
